Wooooooo! After almost two months, the display board is finished and in Mark's eager hands.

For those of you just tuning in, enjoy the succession of pictures.

Mark's Trench Display Board Part Three

Whew! Almost there. I never thought taking on a miniature display board like this would absorb so much time, but it has been a huge learning experience. I feel like it has not only given me better terrain and display board making skills but also made me better at fine tuning basing and painting in a larger scale for future projects. I now want to build a 6x4 table for Evil Dice and I'm much more confident that I'll be able to do it quickly.

Here is my first decent display board. A chaos themed board with my first attempt at water effects.

Mark's Trench Display Board Part Two

If I tell ya what I'm doing today
Will you shut up and get out of my way
Someone ask me what the time is I don't know
Only know I gotta know now
No time, tryin' ta get a watch repaired
No time, never got a thing to wear
Little ringin' on the telephone
Oh no, hear a ringin' in my head now
-Anthrax, "Got the Time"

When I was a kid, I rocked out hard to Anthrax, especially the albums Persistence of Time and Among the Living. Great painting music. If you haven't listened to it in awhile I suggest plugging in and cranking the volume.

Anyway...The old saying goes, time is of the essence...And I've certainly had less of it in order to escape reality of late. The painting list continues to liveth and groweth upon the earth, I've been mulling over a new army and I really want to build some tables for Evil Dice. Yeesh.

Mark's Trench Display Board Part One

The following is a work in progress of a recent trench board I've been working on for a friend.

Here's the initial set up. Pink Panther just peeking over the top there.
