Herald of Khorne on Juggernaut

Let's say this Twinkie represents the normal amount of psychokinetic energy in the New York area. According to this morning's sample it would be a Twinkie thirty-five feet long, weighing approximately six-hundred pounds...

Herald of Khorne on Juggernaut...

Harold's Porn for Tugging Nuts?

Pie-Bald Corn helps to Plunge Her Cunt?

Disheveled Whore Sworn to an Astronaut?

Flare is Born, so let's Flog an Aunt?

Hair is Worn? Try Pluggers, not...

Good ol' Harold Ramis. I watched Animal House the other day. It had been awhile. Boy what a gem of a movie. I busted a gut every couple of seconds watching it and I've seen it, oh, I don't know, maybe fifty times.

Was comedy better then or am I just an old fart with nostalgia for the classics?

A little Vince Clarthow and then on to the 40K talk...

Here's my herald of Khorne on juggernaut. I chose to go with the lizardmen Stegadon model because I wanted something imposing and over the top.

I think it came out pretty sweet. I was able to cover a lot of empty spaces on the carapace (where the lizardmen throne is supposed to go) with greenstuff and believe it or not these weird little bits that come with the Chaos Space Marine bike kit (more on that later).

The herald is pretty sweet statistically. I'm not yet sure how it'll function in game but it looks badass. That's gotta count for something. At any rate, he's WS 7 has 3 wounds, is toughness 5, I6 and is S6 with the furious charge. He comes stock with a hellblade and has options to take anyone of the badass weapons in the Daemonkin Codex including one that turns him into a bloodthirster when he dies. All this for under 150 points.

Looking forward to someday throw this motherfucker down on the table. I was offered a game down at Aero Hobbies the other day but declined. I didn't want to use my Khorne Daemonkin because the models are mostly grey and unprimed, plus the guy was an Imperial Guard player which means he has a streak of douchbaggery coursing through his veins. Have I officially become a 40K snob? Not sure. The painting progress has become a sluggish endeavor at best and I'm not sure if it's because: 1. My standards have risen 2. I spend more time on each individual model 3. I am really into making this Khorne army my best work yet 4. Life is continually pulling me away from the 40K hobby. Probably a blend of all four. The 40K struggle is real. The painting consumes mad amounts of time and girlfriends, work, dreams, life...All seek to steal time away from my sweet, sweet Khorne.

But the Blood God calls and I respond in kind.

At any rate, I'm basing my army off a blend of models I think are cool and somewhat competitive. Since I hate spamming shit, due to the boredom of painting the same damn models over and over, I've come up with the folllowing which I hope will be fun to play without getting totally steamrolled.

Herald on Juggy
Chaos Lord on Juggy
2x 8 Bloodletters
8 Berserkers in a Rhino
2x 3 Man Squads of Bikers with Melta
2x 8 Dog Squads of Flesh Hounds
Heldrake
Skull Cannon
Soul Grinder
Maulerfiend

So yeah, there's some spammage but also some cool stuff that may not work out so well. This list gives me some offense against tanks and a lot of fast bodies coming forward on that ass immediately. I like the feel of lots of daemon engines on the field. They'll be fun to paint. I haven't figured out the whole bloodhost thing.  I don't like being told what I can and can't put in an army. No matter how I figure it, possessed are still dogshit and 150 points is a serious tax to pay.

Boom. Stay tuned.

  1. Holy crap! He lives! Dude shake off that excremental jenkem and welcome back to real-space. Bloodcrusher looking awesome. Now i feel like I've got get to work on my own blood host but no way they'll stack up to that masterclass in the above post. Also ghostbusters is kind of top of class when it comes to comedy and concept, stay true to the classics!

  2. Looks like you're doing just fine out there in the hinterland. Funny thing about building terrain though...It always takes away from army painting.
